Guide to Epcot's International Festival of the Arts

Do and See

Festival of the Arts is Epcot’s newest festival, and in my opinion, one of the best. Featuring all forms of art, this colorful festival is not to be missed. This year, the festival is occurring from January 17, 2020 – February 24, 2020. The festival features, food, musical performances, art booths, and so much more. Read on to learn more about everything you can experience at Epcot’s Festival of the Arts.

Food Studios

It wouldn’t be an Epcot festival without food booths. All around the World Showcase you can find food booths featuring unique festival dishes. These dishes usually feature a beautiful presentation to go along with the festival theme. Each booth also usually features specialty alcoholic beverages as well for those 21+.

Disney on Broadway Concert Series

Concerts have become another staple for Epcot festivals, and Festival of the Arts is no different. This festival is home to the Disney on Broadway Concert Series, featuring some of Broadway’s best, singing Disney favorites. Performances are at 5:30pm, 6:45pm, and 8:00pm each night. You can reserve a Disney On Broadway Concert Series Dining Package that includes reserved seating, but standby seating is usually available if you arrive early enough. You can find the full schedule for the Disney on Broadway Concert Series here.

Expression Section

One of my favorite parts of the festival is the paint-by-number mural. You get a paintbrush and container of paint with a number on it. They will tell you how many squares to paint, and then you find the squares that correspond to your paint number on the mural. At the end you receive a card featuring the image that you helped create! This activity is free and so fun to contribute to a piece of art.

PhotoPass Spots

Festival of the Arts Photo Opp

The festival features multiple temporary photopass locations around the World Showcase where you get to become part of a famous painting! Another not to miss photo op are these adorable butterfly wings. Definitely insta-worthy.

Animation Academy

One of my favorite things to do at Disney is take an animation class. If you don’t have time to stop over to Art of Animation or Animal Kingdom, you can attend a class in Epcot during Festival of the Arts. Class times are 12:30pm and 1:30pm each day at the America Gardens Theatre.

Chalk Art

My personal favorite part of the festival was walking around and looking at all the different art booths. Many booths feature Disney art and some of them even feature the artist. I bought a beautiful piece and was able to get it signed by the artist.
