5 Must-Eat Items at Epcot's Festival of the Arts

Food

Last week I took a short trip down to Disney World to ride Rise of the Resistance and visit Epcot’s Festival of the Arts. Festival of the Arts was the highlight of my trip. I loved all of the art booths, performances, and the incredible food! Read on to figure out what to eat at Festival of the Arts.

Sopes de Barbacoa from El Artista Hambriento (The Hungry Artist)

This dish from Mexico was my favorite savory item at the festival. The dish consisted of braised barbacoa beef on a fried guajillo corn shell, with black beans, cotija cheese, Mexican cream, and chives. Now, I may be biased because Mexican food is my favorite, but this dish was so tasty! All the flavors and textures went so well together. You can find this dish in Mexico for $7.25 or a snack credit, and while you’re at it, grab a Diego Blackberry Margarita.

Almond Frangipane Cake from Pop Eats

This was my favorite sweet item that I had. The Belgian chocolate was so rich and paired so well with the almond cake and hints of raspberry jam. This cake reminded me of a cake my grandma would like, and she has very high standards when it comes to cakes. For only $4.50 or a snack credit you can pick up this cake near the entrance to World Showcase on the Mexico side. While I did not try the Tomato Soup Can Bloody Mary at this booth, I have it under good authority that it is another must-try at this booth.

Deconstructed BLT from The Deconstructed Dish

While this dish tasted nothing like a BLT, it was delicious. This crispy pork belly, topped with tomato jam, and a soft poached egg was the perfect mid-day snack. The crispy pork belly paired well with the sweet tomato jam, and the soft poached egg added the perfect texture contrast. I enjoyed whatever the green sauce on the plate was. I could have done without the yellow, which I believe was some sort of mustard and was a bit overpowering of the other flavors. This dish is available for $7.00 or a snack credit and can be found near the entrance to the World Showcase near the Port of Entry.

Crème de Brie en Petit Pain from L’Art de la Cuisine Française

If you like bread and cheese as much as I do then this dish is a must. It is basically just melted brie cheese in a bread bowl, but it is so good. The only thing I would have liked to improve this dish is something other than the bread to dip in the cheese. The bread-to-cheese ratio wasn’t great and some apples on the side to dip in the cheese would have been the perfect addition to this dish. But, if you’re one of those cheese over chocolate people, like me, then be sure to pick up this dish for $7.75 or a snack credit in the France pavilion.

Seasonal Cupcake at Sunshine Seasons

My last must-try is a dish you might miss out on if you don’t know about it, as it’s not at one of the festival booths. This seasonal cupcake at Sunshine Seasons in The Land is a vanilla cupcake with peanut butter frosting is one you don’t want to miss. First, it’s adorable and fits in so well with the festival theme. Second, the peanut butter frosting is SO GOOD. I’m not usually a big cupcake fan, but I am a big peanut butter fan and this cupcake was tasty. I’ve heard this cupcake sells out quickly, so get there early in the day if you want to try this cupcake. You can find it for $5.99 or a snack credit at Sunshine Seasons inside of The Land pavilion in Future World.
